Now it is definitely the season for cabbage! I am a big fan of any type of cabbage and this salad is one of my favourite! First of all, it's dead easy to make plus you can keep it in your fridge for up to 2 months! What could be better?!
What we need:
1kg of shredded red or white cabbage
1 l water
4 tbsp of sugar
2 tbsp of salt
80 ml of white vinegar
50 ml of vegetable oil
bay leaf
some peppercorns
What we have to do:
1. Shred the cabbage and put it in a pot.
2. In another pot pour water and bring it to boil, then add salt, sugar. Mix it until it melts. Then add vinegar, bay leaf and peppercorns. Bring it to boil again.
3. Pour the boiling marinate over the cabbage, add oil and mix it. The liquids should cover the cabbage.
4. When the liquid cools, put the salad into clean jars and put them in a fridge. You can serve it 5 hours later. Enjoy!
